Our next production at Waterworks will be The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, by John Bishop, co-directed by Scott C Chapman and Caitlin Linkins.
Auditions are open to the public at Waterworks Players Theatre, May 9th and 10th from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.
The Waterworks Players stage will be creatively transformed as dashing men-about-town John Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff pursue fair ladies Gwendolen Fairfax and Cecily Cardew. These pursuits get complicated by the imaginary characters invented by both men to cover their on-the-sly activities.
Waterworks Players will hold auditions March 6th and 7th for its spring production of The Importance of Being Earnest. Set in the late Victorian London, Oscar Wilde’s comedy has some of the wittiest dialogue ever written for the stage.
For the last 30 years, the highlight in the lives of Connie, Leona, Millie and Mary has been their weekly “girl’s night out “bridge game.” Therefore, when Mary passes away, the remaining three friends face a dilemma of how they will carry on.
Waterworks Players will soon hold auditions for the February production of Exit Laughing. A comedy by Paul Elliott, this production portrays what happens to friendship when a bridge playing foursome losses one of “the girls”.
Sometimes it takes an absence to remind us just how special homegrown talent can be. That’s especially true for this year’s Panto, which has been one of the Waterworks Players’ most popular productions for almost 15 years.
Performances are Fridays (December 3rd and 10th ) at 7 pm, and Saturdays (December 4th and 11th ) at 2 pm and 6 pm.
It’s time to celebrate as the Waterworks Players return to enhance Farmville’s arts scene with its first live and in-person production since the pandemonium of the Covid pandemic.
The Waterworks Players’ next production is James Barry’s Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, a British pantomime to celebrate the holiday season.
