Waterworks Players next production is Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park, one of Broadway’s most enduring and successful romantic comedies.  Jordan Whiley will direct this timeless “laugh out loud” comedy, in which Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds who are realizing the honeymoon is over. He is a serious young lawyer and she is a free-spirited bride. Their tiny “top-of-the-building-with-no-elevator” Manhattan apartment is perfect to keep a meddlesome mother-in-law away. But with bad plumbing, a closet for a bedroom, a leak in the skylight, and an unexpected rooftop neighbor…well, anything that can go wrong invariably does.

Auditions will be Sunday May 5 at 7:30pm and Monday May 6 at 7:30pm, at the Waterworks Theatre on Industrial Park Road in Farmville.  The cast includes 4 men and 2 women of various ages.  Show dates will be June 14th, 15th, 22nd, and 23rd.  Readings for auditions will be taken from the script.  If you have any questions about the auditions, please contact the director atjordan@jwweb.com.
